The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General’s (OIG) latest report on the serious violations of ICE detention standards that persist at Torrance County Detention Facility (TCDF) stated that no immigrants should be detained at the facility, due to their findings of egregious and continuous abuse of detainees and horrible living conditions. Since then, Senators Lujan and Heinrich have sent letters demanding the closure of TCDF.
Join us in calling for the immediate shut down of TCDF and the release of the remaining migrants being detained. The asylum seekers, migrants, and residents of New Mexico deserve better than this!
